Booked a room on their site it's specifically said on the headline and as defined that it was a suite the room we received was a single room with a bathroom no other accommodations noted division not even an attempt at a division between the living space and the room itself and then they're only solution was for us to cancel the booking wait for the hotel to refund the money and to rebook in hopes that we might be able to get another room through them that might accommodate our needs and the customer service is literally the worst ever they only respond via messaging they like I stated didn't offer to make any accommodation even though it said by their own definition that we would be receiving a suite I understand it's a blind booking but when you have a parameter for that booking it should be adhered to.

If nothing else and illegal practice of bait and switch also the hotel in which they put us was within the star parameters but didn't have any of the amenity parameters so really none of what they promised even through their you know blind last minute booking was fulfilled.

exceptionally poor customer service. They are unreachable. The SMS number they provide does not work. All I needed to do was change a car pickup time by two hours!!! It is impossible. Avoid Hotwire

Hotwire has absolutely terrible customer service. They don't offer to resolve anything even when their guaranteed hotel rating is not what they promised. They steal your money, offer zero solutions, and then ask you to pay more for a better hotel instead of fixing it on their end. They act like they have no power to resolve the problem and put it on you.

I had a car reservation in for pick up at 4:30 Cleveland. Hotwire had the incorrect address for the pick up location. The actual location was kind of far and I couldn't get there in time. I was stranded on the streets of Cleveland. I decided to give them another try and made a reservation in Philly. I had pick up time of 4 pm. The car rental agency was closed. So I was stranded AGAIN. Both times I lost lots of money on Lyft rides and they put my safety at risk. DO NOT USE HOTWIRE.

The absolute worst service ever! I booked a hot rate rental and my computer auto-populated the details. A day later I realized it should have gone under my wife’s name and not mine since I wasn’t going to be there to pick up the vehicle. Hot wire would not budge! I didn’t want to cancel, didn’t want to change the dates, wanted to honor the deal but how can I pick up a vehicle when I’m in another state almost 400 miles away 🤷🏾‍♂️? We had 2 days to make a simple change but they wouldn’t do a thing. Don’t waste your money with Hotwire. They’re the absolute worst!

I rented a car for $507.14 for four days. Had to cancel my trip because of exposure to covid and my wife was sick. Even though I canceled four days before the trip, giving the car rental agency plenty of time to rent it to another customer, Hotwire would not refund ANY of the money (Abnb and the airlines did give us refunds). Hotwire claimed to be sympathetic but their tone was condescending as they explained that all "Hot Dollar" sales are final, with no refunds. Avoid using this company for car rentals...especially now that rates have increased.

I booked reservations of hotel in montreal i paid them $860 and my flight canceled i went second they told me hot wire canceled ur reservations And i had to call first day they put my in hold i called after and they said thet system down three days they telling me that at sixth day i called to ask them to refund my money and they told me no refund ur money is gone they stole my money no one book through them pleaSe people they are bunch of thieves they $#*!ed me up

Booked a hot rate that had mostly ‘great’ reviews, at a hotel chain we’ve had good experience with in the past. Turns out the hotel is actually a lower star rating and was hardly maintained. Staff didn’t seem to be interested in helping or fixing much. Messaged Hotwire and they offered to move us to another ‘blind’ similar hotel, or check out within 30 minutes for a refund. Mind you, it was nearly midnight on our first night, really?? They then offered a partial refund for the second night if we stayed, which turned out to be $25 Hot bucks, take it or leave it. Hardly does much good, since I’d have to use then again😠

Their rates ARE NOT CHEAPER. Booked a hotel for my wife and I and the next day for my brother. Even though they show show Canadian hotels (I live in Canada) the rates are in U.S. FUNDS. Went to BOTH HOTEL SITES DIRECTLY. Same dates, same room. The hotel website WAS $48.00 CHEAPER. avoid these people. when will people learn, cheaper is not always the best.

We rent a car. The car was what we paid for. We didn't pay any extra charge. The rental agency didn't ask us for extra money, nor hotwire.
We made a phone call to the custom service because of a problem of us, they helped us as much as possible; during the conversation, the call accidentally ended, so they phoned us back immediately.
